Father and Sons Campout

I (Dad) went with the boys to the Tonto Wilderness Area near Concord Mountain on an outing this weekend. We camped on a small hill between two big valleys. The accoustics of the place were unlike anything I've heard. In the morning we shouted toward the sunrise and heard echoes all around like we were in a large cavern. It was amazing. There were also lots of deer and antelope tracks and occasional grasshoppers. I gave Andrew a grasshopper so he could look at it. Twenty minutes later, I saw the boys playing with a stump of a tree and observed that Andrew was still holding the poor bug. I coaxed him to put it down and after he did, it jumped away, probably very sore but feeling loved. ;)
