Dressing up fun

All three kids have been having fun wearing around silly outfits during this break. A couple of days ago the boys decided to be cowboys, and Natalie chose Christmas day to wear her princess clothes. She even let me borrow her crown for awhile since it was my b-day!

Family picture fiasco

We wanted to get a current picture of our family to put in Christmas cards this year, but after taking 35 pictures, it still doesn't feel like we got anything we really like. I don't even feel confident that the Christmas card thing is going to happen this year; there's just a lot going on and I haven't figured out what exactly to send out. Plus, many of my addresses are no longer current. Email or blogging may be all you get from us! Sorry! :)

The Six Year Olds!

My twinners are six! They're posing in front of the cake they requested--they both wanted same cake and they wanted it together (I had planned to make to separate cakes, but who's complaining). They also had certain requests for how they wanted their side decorated. The decor is compliments of Darren (I think he does a better job and I was busy decorating 50 sugar cookies for the kids to give to their school class). Alisa, I ended up using your recipe, so thanks (Mom too, for having the recipe in the first place)! I'm thinking it's been a long time since you made those cookies!
Anyway, I think the twins had a fun day even though they didn't get a big party this year! Oh, the fun of having your day during the busiest month of the year! I did explain that I never had birthday parties with friends on my birthday because everyone was with their own families celebrating Christmas, but I left out the fact that at least we usually got together with grandparents, Burtons, etc. Sigh!

Look who's two!

Andrew is happy to now be two years old. This picture makes his face look so much thinner and grown up. He enjoyed blowing out his candles one at a time, and even liked the cake Dad made for him (I was still in Flagstaff and birthdays don't wait!) He has been claiming that it his birthday for many days since then, so we had plenty of arguments yesterday when the twins had their birthday (no, it's MY buthday, no my buday)!

A few pictures from Darren's trip

These are just a few pictures for something different to go on our blog. The first picture is the view from the top of Penang Hill. In the distance you can see a long bridge to Malysia's mainland. The second picture is of Taal Lake in the Philipines (that's a volcano in the center ridge there). The third pic is Darren standing in front of the Manila Temple.

Always into something....

I kept telling Christopher that he could NOT use some leftover paint for his backyard building, and I kept having to go out and remove the paint from him (I thought I had sufficiently gotten rid of the paint the first time). He was so mad at me and couldn't understand why I was interfering with his big plans. I don't know why he can't comprehend that "paint ruins everything it gets on" (a sentence I used several different times while we discussed it). Anyway, he ended up ruining his clothes and Andrew's, and I still don't think he understands why I was so upset with him. This picture is before the clothes were ruined. Andrew is just watching and learning...

This is Andrew peeking out from the back of the little dollhouse we made. He thought it was great that it was the same size as him. We quickly moved it to a higher level, before he got any climbing ideas or anything.

Crazy boys

Andrew thought our reaction to his piggy nose against the screen door was great, but it was hard to catch him on camera. Christopher showed off his talent too.

Music fun with Ben and Darren

The kids were thrilled to help play the guitar and ukelele.

Oak Creek Canyon

Here are our most recent pictures... We visited Ben and Emilie in Flagstaff and took some pictures near Sedona on our way home.

Our family once upon a time

This picture is actually a year old now, but it's the only one I could find on this computer. Most of us don't look that different, except I have a big belly now. As soon as I can get to my computer and have time to post something more recent, I'll put up other pics.

Just getting started...

I enjoyed seeing other blogs and since my sibs are getting in on this, and none of us have ever sent consistent emails, I figured that this might be the way to go. Plus, I always have pics that I don't do anything with. At least now I can post some, if I can just figure out how...
